About Body and Soul
Welcome to Body and Soul! We’re so glad you’ve chosen to do this study. Because we believe discipleship happens best in community, we encourage you to do this study together in a group setting. Or, if you’re doing this alone, consider enlisting a friend or two to go through it at the same time. This will give you study friends to pray with and connect with over coffee or through text or email so you can chat about what you’re learning.
Overview:
From anti-aging serums to diets to surgeries to workouts, we’re made aware of and told to “fix” our bodies every day. But what if we adopted a different attitude? What if we discovered that our bodies are more than just something to work hard on? What if we learned what it means to live well as bearers of God’s very image?
In this 6-session Bible study from author and speaker Lisa Whittle, discover how Scripture talks about our bodies, from creation to Revelation. Learn to reconcile your body with the rest of who you are, growing in a deeper understanding of your true identity as a whole person created in the image of God.
Over 6 weeks, we’ll get real about Scripture and we’ll get real about living out our faith in the bodies we have. Join Lisa and uncover the truth about our bodies, exploring how every curve, every scar, every wrinkle is a testament to how God is shaping us. Body and Soul is an invitation to step into a journey of self-discovery, faith, and radical reconciliation.
You can buy the book on Amazon, Lifeway or Christianbook. The book includes video access. We are a Life group that want to go through how to have a healthy body and most importantly a heathy soul and relationship with Jesus. We will meet starting on Sunday 9/7/2025 in the Conference Room 9:00 to 10:15 AM.
